The Opportunity

As the Operations Coordinator in the People & Culture department at Plan, you will provide a responsive and effective HR operations service to managers and employees to a high quality and within key deadlines. This will involve preparing contracts and documentation, running references and other pre-employment checks, use of the HRIS system for data entry and running reports, as well as supporting managers and employees at all stages in the employee life cycle, both for Global Hub and International employees.

In this role you will be the first line of contact for a range of HR related enquiries related to HR policies and procedures, responding to and resolving all types of enquiries and problems accurately and in a timely manner. You will prepare the monthly payroll to ensure the timely and accurate payment of salaries, including ensuring that accurate details of any employee payroll changes are processed correctly.

The Individual

We are looking to recruit a customer-oriented and deadline-focussed individual who has good operational knowledge and experience of the HR administration involved in the employee life cycle. You will be numerate with an eye for accuracy and detail and you will also have strong analytical and Excel skills. You will be fluent in written and spoken English and able to explain HR procedures and payroll issues effectively.

To be successful in this role you will need to be flexible in how you work to achieve service standards and deadlines under pressure and in difficult situations. A team player with a creative approach to problem solving and actively encourage yourself and others to contribute to an organisational culture that promotes gender equality and cultural sensitivity.

Location: This role will ideally be based in the UK, we offer flexible hybrid working (mostly remote).

Type of Role: Fixed-term contract to start as soon as possible until mid-January 2024

Salary: circa £26,000 per annum
