BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The objective of a country-level Logistics Cluster is to ensure that timely, coherent and effective logistics support to humanitarian aid/relief operations is possible (within funding and security constraints). WFP as lead agency of the Logistics Cluster is accountable to work in partnership with humanitarian stakeholders to deliver a strategic response, based on operational gaps (as per the IASC Guidelines on Cluster Coordination at Country Level). Within each country-level Logistics Cluster Lead Agency is a Logistics Cluster Coordinator (as per the IASC Generic Terms of Reference for Sector Leads at Country Level), who is responsible to lead and facilitate this process. Based on the needs identified and expressed by the humanitarian community, the Cluster will assume a coordination and information management role, while attempting to facilitate common services where required to maximise the use of available resources in-country, provide support and advocacy surrounding customs clearance and government liaison, and establish a more coordinated and cost-effective operational approach.
Job Purpose:
To facilitate the management of Logistics Cluster common service provision through; managing daily operations, collect, analyse and report on information, and cooperating with implementing partners to maximise efficiency of the logistics operations and activities.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: | University degree in Transport Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Management or other related field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses. |

Languages: | National Professional: Fluency (level C) in English language and the duty station’s language, if different. |
