An Invitation to all women-led organizations (WLOs), women-led initiatives, and all organizations serving women and girls in Lebanon!
Search for Common Ground organization (Search) in Lebanon is pleased to invite WLOs, women-led initiatives, and all organizations serving women and girls in Lebanon, both officially registered or unregistered, to share their opinions and perspectives regarding the existing needs, priorities, and challenges in efforts to enhance Women, Peace and Security (WPS), and to reduce gender-based violence. We also encourage their interest in participating in the “Women’s Inclusion in New Security” project, by submitting the application form attached to the below link.
After completing the application submission phase, organizations or initiatives that have submitted their applications will be invited for key informant interviews.
Note: The attached application questionnaire in the link aims to gather preliminary information from each organization or initiative, and to understand their perspectives on the current status of women’s security and peace in Lebanon. This information will be part of a landscape analysis conducted by Search as a part of this project. The information provided by each organization or initiative will be further explored during the upcoming interviews. Applying through the questionnaire will provide the organization or initiative the opportunity to be nominated to the selection process of the potential partners of the project. Your participation is entirely voluntary, and your responses will be treated confidentially.
Targeted Group: Small to medium WLOs, women-led initiatives, and organizations that are currently implementing or have implemented programs to promote women’s security and peace in Lebanon serving women and girls. Please be informed that being registered with the Ministry of Interior is not a mandatory project participation requirement. WLOs, initiatives, and other organizations are encouraged to participate regardless of their registration status.
Targeted Areas: North Governorate, Akkar Governorate, Bekaa Governorate, Baalbek-Hermel Governorate.

Introducing the Project

      • Search is implementing the “Women’s Inclusion in New Security” project in six countries around the world, including Lebanon. The project aims to grow and sustain the leadership of diverse women’s civil society organizations in advancing women’s safety and meaningful participation in processes related to peace and security and decision-making institutions. This will be achieved through equitable partnerships with a range of WLOs in target conflict-affected areas in Lebanon to advance the locally designed WPS initiatives
The project will be implemented over a period of ten months in four Lebanese regions: North Lebanon, Akkar, Bekaa, and Baalbek-Hermel.
Based on the information provided in the questionnaire and according to the interview results, a specific number of project partners will be selected. The partner organizations or initiatives will benefit from the following activities through their participation in the project:
    • A “Joint Strategy” workshop to discuss current gaps, challenges, and priorities in the WPS agenda, as well as combating violence against women and girls and gender-based violence in Lebanon.
    • Subawards (Small grants) to implement community-based initiatives contributing to enhancing women’s safety and peace in the targeted areas.
    • An inclusive and tailored capacity-building program for organizations and initiatives to enhance their organizational and leadership capabilities.
