Purpose of Job

The Officer, Donor Visibility supports the activities of the Donor Visibility team and other teams in the Communication Department, as required, to ensure the smooth delivery of donor visibility work and appropriate use of budgets.

This includes support in overview and management of donor visibility – several budgets, including project-specific funds provided by donors and funds from donor management fees for visibility activities. In addition, the incumbent will help the team in reporting to donors and organise donor-related events.

For this role to be successful the incumbent needs to be able to work with SAP and have exceptional organisational skills. The Officer, Donor Visibility will be interacting with other budget officers in the Bank, with Donor Funds Ops and Accounts Control, Banking teams, Resident Offices (ROs).

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support to the Donor Visibility team and to the wider Communications Department to help smooth delivery of donor visibility products
  • Helps to coordinate the overall management of the various Donor Visibility budgets to ensure their efficient use.
  • Develops clear step-by-step guidelines for use of donor funds a) by EBRD colleagues who make use of such funds and b) for EBRD budget officers (in ROs) helping those colleagues
  • Trains colleagues in claiming expenses, booking trips via the Bank’s systems and similar topics
  • Assists in arranging storytelling and other donor visibility-related trips.
  • Assists RO budget holders in dealing with donor-funded expenses for donor visibility activities
  • Maintains donor visibility output log and helps reporting to donors and internally.
  • Monitors and collates press coverage, including by using the new service, Cision, relevant to donor visibility for distribution inside and outside the Bank.
  • Performs other ad-hoc tasks, as required to ensure the smooth work of the Communications Departments

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience

  • Good understanding of the Bank, its mandate and its regions
  • Experience of working in an international environment
  • Experience in keeping track of complex budget issues

Technical Skills

  • Good written and oral English language communications skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent knowledge of Xcel Microsoft
  • Exceptional organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to use own initiative to solve issues and work independently while seeking advice when needed
  • Good interpersonal skills
