The position is to be filled as soon as possible with an initial contract duration of one year. There are very good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn or Berlin, Germany.
Welthungerhilfe’s Child Growth Monitor is a digital application using image data and artificial intelligence to turn mobile devices into tools for measuring the bodies of children in order to detect malnutrition. In order to scale the solution on global level, the Child Growth Monitor will turn into a social business. To help us end hunger, we are looking for you in the role of Administration Officer Child Growth Monitor.
Your responsibilities
- Administration
- Run and track daily administrative tasks of the Child Growth Monitor project
- Prepare documentation for all relevant administrative processes and install regular update cycles where necessary
- Coordinate organizational and technical processes with other organizational units of Welthungerhilfe
- Procurement, Coordination of External Service Provision
- Handle and document procurement processes for the tendering of services and operating resources
- Act as contact person for external service providers with respect to project (CGM) and organization (WHH)
- Follow-up on timely payment of service contracts
- Finance Administration
- Support in budget monitoring and expenditure planning
- Coordinate on an ongoing basis with Welthungerhilfe Finance and Donor Units to allocate donor funds to project needs
- Donor and Stakeholder Reporting
- Support in project reporting for institutional donors
- Governance and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Welthungerhilfe and donor regulations in project administration
- Coordinate with Welthungerhilfe’s Legal and Compliance Unit as well as external service providers on the topic of data protection, safety and security
Your profile
- A university or college degree or a completed training corresponding to the position
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in administrative project support
- Experience with donor requirement (German Federal Foreign Office) and procurement regulations would be an asset
- Interest in Artificial Intelligence/Computer Vision/Machine Learning and/or in malnutrition is an advantage
- Excitement to work in an intercultural working environment
- Excellent spoken and written English; German language skills would be an asset
