This Administrative Assistant undertakes a variety of tasks carried out in accordance with prescribed standardized secretarial practices and procedures. Guidance concerning their applicability and interpretation is readily available. Routine tasks are performed independently; new or unusual assignments are addressed individually during progress.

Appointment may be on contract or on secondment from a Public Service or a statutory body of a Member State or approved regional organization.
