POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Compensation Analyst

Job Family/Level: HR / Specialist

Reports to: Director, Total Rewards

FLSA status: Exempt

Major Function:

Under direction of the Director, Total Rewards this position will assist in the implementation, and management of a competitive, equitable, efficient, and compliant operation of all compensation activities which include, but are not limited to international compensation programs, job family and compensation structure, annual merit increases, and rewards and recognition program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as primary point of contact for compensation inquiries for headquarters and field staff. Included but not limited to salary adjustments, promotion matters, position leveling and general compensation questions
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of compensation processes, policies and procedures
  • Conduct job analysis utilizing internal and external salary data to determine appropriate salary range partnering with WWFs third-party consultants, to ensure that WWF’s compensation program competitive and serve to attract and retain employees
  • Conduct FLSA reviews to ensure positions are classified accurately. Audits job descriptions and postings to ensure ADA and FLSA compliance. Makes adjustments to content to reflect level and nature of work.
  • Coordinate with P&C Business Partners in job description, position leveling, career progression, salary reviews, and other compensation related tasks as needed
  • Work with the Communications team to ensure all compensation initiatives and policies are current and accurate on various internal WWF communications pieces
  • Coordinate with the HR Operations team to complete annual salary surveys, data analytics, identifies compensation reporting needs and maintain accuracy of compensation data in the system
  • Collaborate with HR Operations team to ensure accuracy of compensation transactions in Workday.
  • Creates and maintains compensation and other HR related reports and queries utilizing various HR automated data systems, creates various ad hoc reports as required
  • Lead compensation data auditing in Workday to ensure accuracy and data integrity of all compensation changes. Maintains compensation reports and queries
  • Reconciles and process compensation invoices and monitors timely payments. Serves as primary point of contact for compensation billing questions from third party vendors and processes journal entries as needed
  • Collaborates with the HR Operations team to timely and accurately prepare and process employees’ service awards
  • Provides recommendations related to compensation process improvements
  • Performs other duties as assigned and plays an active role in the successful operation of the People and Culture Department

Skills and Abilities

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 4 years of professional experience including 2 years of experience in HRIS data management is required. Experience with Workday and system implementation is preferred.
  • CEBS and/or CCP preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Integrity and the ability to work with confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, willingness to take initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of MS Suite with focus on Excel is required.
