Position Title: Analyst, Information Systems & Analytics

Reports to: Associate Director of Information Systems & Analytics

Location: Employees in this role can work from our Boston, MA office, remotely within the U.S. or hybrid of these two options (5% travel domestic or international)

Position Overview

The Analyst, Information Systems & Analytics (“the Analyst”) will assist with maintenance and enhancement projects related to organization-wide data, reports, and systems. The Analyst will partner with operational teams (ex. Development, Marketing and Communications, Finance, International Operations, Human Resources) across all Partners In Health (PIH) sites globally to analyze data and explore ways to increase efficiency, reduce parallel processes, bolster application support, grow end user tool adoption, expand access to cross-functional data, and improve the ability of our stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. The Analyst needs to be able to learn tools and processes quickly while being responsive to fluid stakeholder needs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Application Support (25%): Provides helpdesk support and troubleshooting for various systems such as, but not limited to, Serenic (Microsoft [MS] Dynamics NAV), Vena, Concur and MS Office 365 Suite, while bolstering PIH’s efforts to grow support capacity organization wide.
  • Analysis and Report Development (25%): Develops dashboards and reports using analytics tools such as MS Excel, MS Power BI, and Jet Reports for various internal teams, cross-departmental and cross-geographical audiences, and management.
  • Training and Documentation (25%): Supports training efforts to help build analytics and application capacity organization wide through specific trainings and the creation of educational materials and manuals.
  • Data Management and Integration (15%): Assists in implementing PIH’s Data Warehousing strategy by interfacing with various teams to move data into a Data Warehouse, update and maintain permissions, identify relevant data relationships, mappings, and transformations, publish and analyze datasets for stakeholder use.
  • Application and Process Design (10%): Assists in evaluating and improving processes across the organization using PIH’s stack of applications, leading requirements gathering and testing.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 1-3 years of experience in Public Health, Business, Information Technology, Data Science, or similar area
    • 2-3 years of related work experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven ability to learn new systems, processes and problem solve
  • Attention to detail, ability to follow and create instructions and documentation
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with data warehouse or data visualization tools strongly desirable
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse staff across departments and countries
  • Interest in social justice strongly desirable

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $50,000 and $60,000/year. The starting salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market for the position, job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan with employer match, as well as participate in organization-sponsored medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability insurance, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents. Full time employees will receive 15 days of vacation, 12 sick days, 3 personal days, and 3 volunteer days in addition to paid time off during the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day, the week of July 4th, and 11 additional holidays annually.
