As the world’s largest economy and the number-one historical emitter, the U.S. carries enormous influence as to whether climate challenges can be addressed. WRI works at the federal, state, local, and corporate levels to develop solutions to the most pressing environmental challenges. We conduct rigorous, peer-reviewed research and convene partners from the public and private sectors to identify practical solutions. The United States needs an all-hands-on-deck approach to addressing the climate crisis. WRI is working to promote climate action on all levels of government and in high-emitting sectors to raise climate ambition through policy and economic recovery legislation. WRI also helps states, cities, corporates and other large buyers accelerate the transition to a clean energy future. WRI focuses on addressing market barriers to clean energy, accelerating the transition to renewable resources and advancing solutions for a low carbon grid.
Job Highlight:
The Analyst for U.S.-International Engagement will work with the Director for U.S.-International Engagement to promote the U.S. program’s portfolio of international climate and energy engagements, including U.S.-China, U.S.-India, and U.S.-EU Track II Dialogues with research, engagement, and coordination. With oversight of the Director, the Analyst will promote these efforts by managing important relationships, producing insightful research, planning strategic development of dialogues to maximize impact, managing the portfolio of grants, and engaging funder support for strategic programmatic growth. The Analyst will be a trusted expert, both internally and externally, on important climate issues affecting U.S. foreign relations and the actors involved in these relationships. The Analyst will also build and maintain relationships among dialogue partners to advance fruitful discussions that lead to tangible outcomes.

Potential Salary: Salary range is between 69,000 and 78,000 USD. Salary is commensurate with experience and other compensable factors.
