Your team

Within the Division Human Resources and Services, the PDA Unit is responsible for HRS Programmes/Projects definition and execution, and for the definition, development and maintenance of the HRS business platforms and associated roadmaps. The service is also responsible to provide HR data-driven insights and analytics, including reports, dashboards and metrics.

Your role

Your role will be to:

  • Provide functional support to internal end-user’s community on HR digital applications, respond to assistance’s requests and help and solving issues.
  • Help end-users to understand how to make best use of the applications, produce and maintain functional documentation and manuals, and provide training sessions as needed.
  • Handle the settings, configuration and evolution of the HR digital applications by collecting demands, translating them into functionalities and coordinate implementation/validation of new functionalities:
    o The digital applications envisaged to be part of this specific job opportunity are SAP BusinessObjects (HR reporting) and the future HR case management tool (process automation).
  • Assess the impact of new functionalities on business processes, coordinating with HR services and business process owners.
  • Act as the interface between the HR services and the IT department for technical incidents, changes or projects, and collaborate with external suppliers.
  • Participate in the review of processes and procedures in view of identifying any further optimisation and automatization.
  • Contribute to project and initiatives in field of expertise (specifications, validations, proof of concept…).
  • Assure the digital application’s compliance, integrity and adequacy of data and processes in regard to the EUROCONTROL regulations, including assuring segregation of duties of user access and roles to personal information.
  • Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • Post-secondary and professional experience of three years or university degree of at least three years and professional experience of one year or university degree of four years. A degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computing Studies, IT or any other related fields would be an asset.
  • In addition, minimum 1 year of relevant working experience
  • Experience or knowledge in Business Intelligence (BI) tool (SAP BO,
    Oracle BI, Tableau, Power BI…).
  • Experience or knowledge in writing high-level process specifications (e.g., flowcharts, swim lane…).
  • Digital proficiency, comfortable operating and learning new systems.
  • Data processing skills and proficiency in Excel.
  • Interest in the HR domain and processes.
  • Experience in supporting and configuring digital applications is an asset.
  • Knowledge of SQL is an asset.
  • Drafting skills (English).
  • Analytical thinking: you analyse information and are able to identify relationships.
  • Customer focus: you adapt services to respond to customer needs.
  • Communication: you are able to foster two-way communication.
  • Problem solving: you anticipate and solve business problems.

  • The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For
    this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1. applicable: The selected candidate will be required to become basic [insert basic, independent or proficient] users of French at level A1/A2 before the end of the probation period.The levels relate to the European-framework-reference Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).

Useful information

  • The selected candidate will be offered a contract of 5 Year(s) pursuant to the provisions of the Conditions of Employment of Contract Staff at EUROCONTROL. The contract may be renewed. Before being established in the post, he/she will be requested to provide certified copies of his/her degrees and successfully serve a probationary period of 9 months.
  • The successful candidate shall be engaged in principle at the basic grade of the advertised grades.
  • Candidates declared suitable who are not selected for the post will be placed on a reserve list for similar roles. The reserve list will be valid for one year from the closing date of applications.
