Your responsibilities
The ATLAS Experiment at LHC currently constructs a new inner tracking system (ITK) for its future research at the High-Luminosity LHC. At the center of the next tracker the ITK Pixel detector will provide unprecedented radiation hardness and speed for the reconstruction of charged tracks produced in by p-p collision in its center. For the tracker upgrade the CERN ADE group is committed to contribute over the next years to the construction of the ITK pixel detector, specifically the assembly and test of new hybrid pixel detector modules.
The selected candidate will contribute to the assembly and testing of silicon pixel detector modules. She/he will play an active role in the development of the parallelization of the tasks for the pre-production and production of modules. Moreover, her/his responsibilities will include the development of the analysis of the measurement data and evaluation of results to optimize the workflow. This will also include the interface and usage of the database. She/he will also regularly present results internally and to the ITk Pixel community. In addition, she/he will help to keep up with evolving requirements for all production stages of modules and required upgrades of the laboratory infrastructure as needed to contribute to the production of the ATLAS ITk Pixel detector.

What we offer
About us
At CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, physicists and engineers are probing the fundamental structure of the universe. Using the world’s largest and most complex scientific instruments, they study the basic constituents of matter – fundamental particles that are made to collide together at close to the speed of light. The process gives physicists clues about how particles interact, and provides insights into the fundamental laws of nature. Find out more on http://home.cern.
