Context
Mali is in its second decade of grappling with a multidimensional humanitarian situation. Since 2012, the frequency and intensity of attacks have spread from the north to the centre, precipitating repeated population displacements. The estimated number of internally displaced people in Mali is 354,739.
The Norwegian Refugee Council has been working in Mali since 2013. The organization has a coordination office in Bamako, and field offices located in the regions: Mopti (with satellite offices in Tenekou, Koro and Djenne), Tombouctou, Gao, Ménaka and Ségou.
