For more than 40 years now, Ashoka has been developing the field of “social entrepreneurship”, discovering the world’s leading social entrepreneurs with system-changing ideas and supporting them in amplifying their impact. We work with leading social entrepreneurs, corporations, the finance industry, and public institutions to address the world’s toughest problems. We cover topics ranging from civic engagement and full economic citizenship to youth, environment, health and human rights. And we’re on an ambitious mission: to change whole mindsets and systems towards an “Everyone a Changemaker”-world. A world where everyone can embrace their agency, live with dignity, has the skills to solve problems, and creates positive change for the common good.

Ashoka Austria is looking for a full-time Community Director from May 2023

HERE IS YOUR CHALLENGE:

  • Create learning, collaboration and engagement opportunities with our community of changemakers and partners
  • Leading the implementation and facilitation of the Visionary Program for changemakers and building strong alignment with the Ashoka Europe Community Strategy
  • Build up and co-create cutting-edge leadership and social impact programs with partners
  • Engage in fundraising and business development for our current work and future endeavors
  • Seize opportunities in our European and global network of staff, social entrepreneurs and partners to accelerate our vision and mission

 

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ENTREPRENEURIAL INDIVIDUAL, WHO

  • has at least 5-7 years of professional experience with increasing responsibilities
  • has built and/or led programs and entrepreneurial initiatives
  • is an experienced and confident fundraiser and business developer
  • has excellent facilitation skills (offline and online)
  • has experience in coordinating teams and working across organizations
  • has strong management and organizational skills (including working digitally)
  • has great command of English (and German)
  • has a completed university degree or an equivalent of professional experience
  • has knowledge of the field of social entrepreneurship
  • is proactive, empathetic and solution-oriented
