Purpose of Job

The Associate – Donor Visibility is core to communications on official co-financing activities at the Bank.

The Associate – Donor Visibility highlights, publicises and promotes official co-financing activities and investments at the Bank. To achieve this, the Associate will have a comprehensive network of donor country contacts, including the relevant constituency offices, as well as a network of EBRD contacts.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

The main accountabilities and responsibilities will include:

  • Identify news, opportunities and success stories for highlighting the EBRD-donor projects and programmes and their impact, thus promoting EBRD-donor partnerships
  • Research, organise and undertake complex writing and multimedia products assignments such as case studies, articles and videos on EBRD-donor projects and programmes , maximising coverage and promoting the benefits of donor activity.
  • Contribute to the organisation of various events, including panel discussions, conferences, launch events, press visits and workshops, in cooperation with partner organisations, in particular bilateral donors.
  • Train and advise RO staff, partner banks, businesses and other organisations to ensure they make full use of the available marketing material and adhere to donors’ and EBRD branding guidelines in their own communication and information material.
  • Prepare reports on communication activities and their impact on local and international audiences Produce content for the various EBRD social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram,LinkedIn, etc), engage with the donors on social media and collect statistics and analytics, if and where available.
  • Advise and support Banking teams on reporting the results of donor-funded projects, ensuring accurate representation of the impact and scope of donor activity and develop strategies to plan and monitor donor visibility activities systematically.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Academic Qualification

  • University degree in relevant discipline such as communications, marketing, media studies, journalism, international relations, international development, or similar, or proven professional experience in equivalent fields.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience.
  • Several years of writing experience.
  • Several years of experience in high-level event organisation.

Technical Skills

  • Highly literate, with good writing skills in English.
  • Ability to maximise the use of various communications approaches, tools and platforms (e.g. the web, social media, digital and print publications, presentations and events) for business impact.
  • Effective, persuasive and diplomatic communications skills.
  • Excellent planning and time management and project management skills.
  • Ability to operate in a multinational, multicultural environment with continuously changing priorities.
  • Ability to maximise use and benefit of multiple communications platforms, including the internet, intranet, digital and print publications, presentations and events
  • Ability to think strategically.
