The Associate Director of Development (ADOD) will support the senior members of the corporate partnerships team to create and implement fundraising strategies for US-headquartered companies. The ADOD will develop and oversee a portfolio of established corporate partners that support CARE’s work, focusing on health equity and rights programming. They will fulfill critical internal communication functions, including liaising with the team and the country offices in preparation of strategic donor materials, briefing documents, and grant reports. In addition, the ADOD will support the team’s efforts to strengthen and expand sector strategies.

Location: Atlanta, Washington DC, New York, or San Francisco.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Account management

  • Steward existing relationships to deliver on commitments and position CARE for partnership growth opportunities that align with CARE’s overall revenue and impact goals. Develop new relationships with prospects to create pathway for partnership.

2.Account administration

  • Keep up-to-date records in files and CRM. Create and maintain grants reporting calendar. Create and maintain partnership summary reports. Create and submit timely grant reports. Schedule donor-update meetings.

3.Internal communication

  • A significant internal communications role, working closely with colleagues, including Health Equity and Rights, US Programs, and Humanitarian teams, to prepare decks, concept notes, proposals, and other related materials in alignment with strategic funding opportunities, along with supporting scheduling and logistics for key meetings.

4.Prospect and sector research

  • Maintain, update, and develop research profiles for CARE’s current corporate donors (and key leaders) as well as prospects. This will include creation of original research and updating existing information regarding funding opportunities for CARE’s strategic and sectoral priorities. Create opportunities calendar, including for RFPS and key sector conferences where prospects will be speaking.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, international development, public administration, public health, or equivalent experience.
