The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for Group Corporate Services Directorate – Group Digital Office (GCS-GDO), Data & Information Solutions Department (DIS), Content Management Solutions Division (CMS), Collaboration Solutions Unit (CS) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, an (Associate) IT Project Manager*.

This is a full-time position at grade 4/5 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract.

Purpose

Operating Network

You will directly report to the Head of Unit and collaborate closely with the Unit team members. There will be extensive contacts with other colleagues in the division and department, as well as other teams within the Group Digital Office and different business areas depending on project or product evolution.

Accountabilities

  • Take project management responsibilities for assigned IT projects (mainly, Microsoft 365 and document automation solutions), coordination, scheduling and implementation of new or enhanced software applications with business users and other IT technical teams
  • Hold end-to-end responsibility for analysing and translating business requirements to IT application specifications in line with business needs, being the link between business users and the development team
  • Collect knowledge of functional and technical points concerning M365 and other solutions and products managed by the unit and ensure consistent evolution based on business needs
  • Provide expertise and support to IT development teams during development life cycle and on-going post-release requirements in the field of user interface design and information architecture
  • Drive and support the implementation of plans and initiatives in the field of user interface and information architecture
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on systems and processes in order to provide end users with the appropriate support

Qualifications

  • University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) preferably in computer science or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of work experience as an IT Project Manager/Business Analyst or similar role
  • Knowledge of project management principles, methods and practices with a proven record of project management success, both in results achieved and in use of methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in managing projects in ECM environments, preferably OpenText and M365/SharePoint would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills, with presence and authority to influence stakeholders and partners.
  • Qualifications in project Management like Prince2, PM2 or PMP, PMI-ACP, Agile PM, SCRUM Master or in business analysis like CBAP (IIBA) or PMI-BA would be an advantage.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and/or French (*), with a good command of the other. (Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage).

(*) Unless stated explicitly as a required qualification, a good command of French is not a pre-requisite for hire. As both English and French are however official working languages of the EIB, proficiency in both languages is a pre-requisite for your future career development. Any language clause in your contract must be fulfilled in order for you to be eligible for a promotion (either via the annual appraisal cycle or via an internal selection process). Proficiency is understood to mean the attainment of level 5 of the Inter Institutional language courses, corresponding to B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL). The Bank offers appropriate training support.
