The EIB, the European Union’s bank is seeking to recruit for its Finance Directorate (FI), Strategy, Policies & Business Support Department (SPBS), Systems & Data Management Division (SDM), Market Data Management Unit (MDM) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, an (Associate) Market Data Officer*.
This is a full-time position at grade 4/5 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract.

Cover all market data activities and execute daily and periodic market data controls consistent with the Market Data Configuration Guidelines and provide business support to market data users in order to execute and administer structured borrowing and derivatives transactions, treasury transactions, loans and other financial operations of the Bank and provide an independent opinion on the validity, accuracy and reliability of market data.
The Market Data Management Unit (“MDM”) is currently comprised of 8 staff members and is in charge of Market Data maintenance and feeding processes operated in Wall Street Finance Kit, the Collateral Management System (“CMS”) and the new market data platform (“MDP”) currently being deployed. It provides support to Market Data users through those systems as well as impacted downstream applications. MDM releases official EIB rates such as daily and monthly Exchange Rates as well as Pool Rates. Finally MDM unit also encompasses data governance activities on the basis of 2 Data Officers operating under policies defined by EIB’s central DGO unit.
The job requires that on a daily basis, the market data is accurate, reliable and correct. The Market data management (associate) officers report to the Market data management Head of Unit who reports to the Head of Division.

As both English and French are however official working languages of the EIB, proficiency in both languages is a pre-requisite for your future career development. Any language clause in your contract must be fulfilled in order for you to be eligible for a promotion (either via the annual appraisal cycle or via an internal selection process). Proficiency is understood to mean the attainment of level 5 of the Inter Institutional language courses, corresponding to B1.2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL).
