The UNESCO Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Education for Peace and Sustainable Development (MGIEP) is UNESCO’s first education-related category 1 institute in the Asia and the Pacific region towards the development and promotion of new approaches to education for a more peaceful and sustainable world. The Institute is a globally regarded center of excellence for research and implementation of socio-emotional learning (SEL) through innovative digital pedagogies empowered by Artificial Intelligence.
MGIEP believes that the youth need more opportunities to participate actively in public matters and have a greater say in policymaking that will impact their futures. UNESCO MGIEP is seeking an Associate National Project Officer to provide support to the youth program in developing the Institute-wide youth strategy and the development of a global network for Youth-Driven Communities of Peace.
Under the overall authority of the Director and direct supervision of the Program Officer (Youth) of the Institute, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties.

UNESCO’s salaries consist of a basic salary and other benefits, which may include, if applicable: 30 days annual leave, reimbursement of medical insurance (up to 5% of base salary), pension plan (up to 10% of base salary), etc. The annual base salary of NOB R1 is INR 1,751,502 (Negotiable).
