The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its Portfolio Management & Monitoring Directorate (PMM), Joint Middle Office Department (JMO), Intermediated Lending Division (IL), Linked & Special Activities Unit (LSA) at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a (Associate) Portfolio Monitoring Officer*.
This is a full time position at grade 4/5 for which the EIB offers a permanent contract.

Panel interviews are anticipated for November-December 2023.
You will join the Portfolio Management and Monitoring Directorate of the European Investment Bank and will assume responsibilities for the analysis, financial monitoring and event resolution of a portfolio of guarantee and risk sharing transactions covering large portfolios of new loans to SMEs and Small Mid-Caps. Transactions will notably relate to the monitoring of operations under EU programmes such as InvestEU and European Guarantee Fund (EGF), but also of EIB’s own operations and other guarantee facilities EIB manages outside the EU (Neighbourhood countries, ACP countries).
The position consists in the monitoring of a Risk Sharing portfolio of operations, including financial monitoring, event resolution. It is part of a culturally diverse Unit of 12 people in a fast-paced working environment. You will work closely with a select number of contracts and counterparts and be responsible for autonomously carrying out regular monitoring exercises. You will be involved in new product reviews and continuous efforts to improve internal processes and systems. The role will also include close contact with various other internal counterparts such as front officers, legal, risk management and systems professionals.
