The Corporate Risk Management Department (CRM), under the Corporate Risk & Financial Sustainability Vice-Presidency, provides Corporate-wide portfolio and risk oversight of IFC’s debt, equity and treasury portfolios, as well as managing IFC’s overall capital position and financial sustainability. Within CRM, Treasury Risk Team (CRMTR) is responsible for providing risk oversight of IFC’s Treasury Activities. This includes, but is not limited to, measuring, managing, and monitoring market, credit and liquidity risks in IFC’s portfolio.
CRMTR is conducting a search for a Associate Risk Officer to join an international dynamic team in support of Credit Risk functions.
Duties and Accountabilities:
His/her responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Primary responsibilities include:
• Perform fundamental credit analysis, structural stress testing and eligibility assessment of securitized product (global ABS, RMBS) and covered bond investments.
• Perform fundamental credit analysis of securitized product originators, sponsors, servicers, and other deal counterparts, and provide ongoing risk surveillance.
• Monitor markets and securitized product collateral performance to proactively identify, measure and evaluate developing risks, and recommend mitigating actions.
• Prepare securitized product risk surveillance reports, including periodic collateral and sector reviews, cash flow analysis and update of risk monitoring category status and limits.
• Present securitized product risk analyses and participate in CRMTR’s Credit Committees.
• Familiarize with CRMTR’s risk policies, investment guidelines, systems, and databases. Update CRMTR systems to reflect appropriate credit limits.
• Be involved in a several ad hoc projects of high importance to CRMTR.
Selection Criteria
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics or Mathematics with a strong technical background with at least 3 years of experience in analysis of securitized products.
• Experience in finance and fixed income within an investment bank, rating agency, or other financial institution is required
• Experience in analyzing securitized products, covered bonds and familiarity with securitization markets, regulations and underlying collateral sectors is required.
• Experience in using Intex or Bloomberg for the analysis of securitized products is a plus.
• Experience in Microsoft Office Suite is required. VBA and SQL are desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Financial modeling skills are desirable.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present technical issues in simple and straightforward terms
• Ability to multitask, meet tight deadlines and work efficiently in multicultural teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail and resourcefulness.
• Prior experience in financial and business intelligence software such as Bloomberg, or Reuters, as well as working with Credit Rating Agencies is a plus.
