The Corporate & Portfolio Risk Management Department (CRM), under the Corporate Risk & Sustainability Vice-Presidency, provides Corporate-wide risk oversight of IFC’s debt, equity, and treasury portfolios and manages IFC’s overall capital position and financial sustainability. Within CRM, the Counterparty Credit Risk Team (CRMCC) is responsible for providing risk oversight of IFC’s Treasury Activities. This includes, but is not limited to, measuring, managing, and monitoring market and credit risks in IFC’s portfolio.
CRMCC is seeking a highly skilled Associate Risk Officer to join our international, dynamic Counterparty Credit Risk Team within the Corporate-wide risk oversight unit. This role will focus on providing risk oversight of IFC’s Treasury Activities, including measuring, managing, and monitoring market and credit risks in IFC’s portfolio with a strong emphasis on leveraging Python for data analysis and visualization, contributing to Murex implementation and developing a credit ranking criteria for central banks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the development and implementation of risk management frameworks for Treasury operations.
• Conduct regular and ad-hoc monitoring of financial counterparties across various markets.
• Perform credit analysis and risk assessments for banks, sovereigns, and government-linked entities.
• Assist in calibrating and optimizing ISDA agreement parameters.
• Contribute to the development of credit risk early warning systems using advanced analytics and machine learning techniques.
• Utilize Python for data analysis, visualization, and process improvement in risk management workflows.
• Play a key role in Murex implementation and design, focusing on risk management functionalities.
• Develop and refine ranking criteria for central banks, incorporating various risk factors and economic indicators
• Create advanced data visualizations and interactive dashboards to communicate risk insights effectively.
• Automate and optimize data processing and reporting workflows using Python and related libraries.
Selection Criteria
• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial risk management, preferably in a multinational or central banking environment.
• Fair understanding of counterparty credit risk, market risk, and Treasury operations.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment techniques.
• Advanced Python programming skills, with a focus on data analysis and visualization libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly).
• Experience with financial regulations and risk management frameworks.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
