Key Responsibilities:

Salary:                 circa £36,000 per annum, depending on experience + good range of benefits

 

Contract:           Permanent – 36.5 hours per week

 

Based:                 Hybrid working (UK Based only).

Must travel to the Milton Keynes office twice per month.

Job Purpose

As the Business Development & Acquisition Manager, you will lead the acquisition processes and strengthen World Vision UK’s ability to apply for trusts, foundations and corporate funding opportunities.  You will lead the process of proposal development and acquisition while aligning our portfolio with strategic opportunities helping us serve the world’s most vulnerable children.

 

We are keen to find a candidate with the following qualities, experience and education:

 

  • A graduate with experience in submitting successful proposals to trusts, foundations and corporate donors. It is desired you have institutional or consortium management experience too.
  • You will be a highly organised person, able to manage expectations and prioritise competing demands.
  • Proactive and tenacious in identifying and pursuing new funding opportunities, you know what it means to be financially astute and risk aware, with keen risk management skills, you have been proven to possess a thorough understanding of risk mitigation and management.
  • You will have experience in reviewing and meeting donor technical, financial and reporting requirements and a familiarity and confidence in navigating stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong relational and outstanding interpersonal skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.

 

 

The role will require you to:

  • Work collaboratively across several key stakeholders and their respective teams within World Vision UK and the wider World Vision Global Partnership (Field Offices, Regional Offices and World Vision International (WVI)).
  • Assess World Vision UK’s capability and capacity to engage in selected portfolios and manage opportunities simultaneously.
  • Effectively execute pre-proposal, decision-making, concept note, proposal and project design processes in order to pursue relevant and strategically aligned funding opportunities.
  • Enable World Vision UK’s Strategic Partnerships Department to proudly apply for competitive and non-competitive funding opportunities with new and existing Trusts, Foundations and Corporate partners.
  • To brief, review and provide feedback to Field Office and Regional Office colleagues on their input and design during the application process.
