The Opportunity

  • Coordinate bid development cycle and high-quality production of project proposals in a range of technical areas in a timely manner;
  • Engage with the program team (both technical and leadership positions) and coordinates the design and development of program concepts and proposals;
  • Work to strict deadlines, coordinating with multiple stakeholders (internal team, National Offices, partners) for the support of proposal development;
  • Analyse funding opportunities in line with Plan Mozambique’s Country Strategy, capacity, and capability;
  • Prepare thematic area capacity statements to support fundraising;

About You

  • Experience in proposal development or fund acquisition responsibilities in the development sector;
  • Familiarity with key development donors and capacity to work in a multi-donor environment, including multilateral, bilateral, corporate and other development funding streams.
  • Knowledge of bid development process
  • Capacity to work in a multi-sector team, including coordinating technical input into proposals and providing guidance of programme team in proposal development;
  • Good writing skills, including capacity to prepare logical, coherent and consistent documents;
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English language.
  • Acts decisively and adapts plans quickly to respond to emerging situations and changing environments
  • Helps others to recognise and manage stress by showing empathy, prioritizing workload, and role-modeling self-care in stressful situations
  • Takes time and patience to understand the concerns of other people and takes care of them as individuals.
  • Avoids any negative impact of implementation – Do No Harm policy
