The role:
The Directorate of CIS Support Units (DCSU) is responsible for the management, delivery and maintenance of CIS products and services to the NCI Agency’s customers as well as providing the planning and coordination functions for the Missions, Operations and Exercises hosted within the NATO Alliance. The Business Manager (Operations and Continual Improvement) is responsible for planning and managing the operational, administrative and financial activities of DCSU on behalf of the Director.
The Business Manager (Operations and Continual Improvement) will be responsible for delivering the following capabilities:
• Subject Matter Leader: Oversee the DCSU business initiatives throughout their lifecycle and ensure the successful delivery of DCSU’s portfolio of CIS products and services. Executes a DCSU-wide continual improvement programme through set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and through the collection and analysis of customer feedback to identify, assess, analyse, recommend and implement required improvements.
• Leadership: Act as the Principal Advisor to the Director and provide guidance to CIS Support Units (CSUs) and Operations and Exercises Service Line (OPEX SL) to ensure consistent progress in alignment with the Director’s strategy. Coach, mentor, and develop staff to empower them to accomplish goals and objectives.
• Management and Co-ordination: Directs business analysis to ensure portfolio services continue to meet the changing needs of customers. In collaboration with other NCI Agency entities, oversees DCSU’s contributions to the Agency’s Asset Management programme and represents DCSU’s interests relative to service performance, availability and capacity.

Who you are:
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and expertise:
• A Master’s degree from a nationally recognised/certified university in Business Management or a relevant discipline and 10 years post-related experience. Alternatively a Bachelor’s degree with 15 years post related experience;
• Proven experience in leading and managing business operations in a C4ISR domain;
• Demonstrable knowledge of operations management and forecasting models;
• Thorough understanding of CIS demand and supply processes, service management, service operations and continual service improvement;
• Proven experience in the development, management, acquisition and implementation of major CIS capabilities
• Experience and knowledge interpreting financial data and budget allocations
• Thorough understanding of Service Operations, and Service Management and Control
