BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The Chad Country Office TEC team is tasked with leveraging data and innovative technology for rapid and impactful deployment of tools to support’s WFP operational efficiency in Chad.
Reporting to the Head of TEC, the position will work with the support of a junior data analyst and collaborate with other technical experts to implement solutions that support data-driven decision-making and foster innovation.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Data Analysis and Innovation Officer will play a crucial role in the design and the development of efficient, integrated data and innovation solutions meeting business needs and WFP standards.
ACCOUNTABILITIES /RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the Country Offices’ Data & Innovation solutions portfolio and assure alignment of the data & innovation roadmap with the country office ‘strategic objectives. Develop and implement innovative and data-driven solutions to improve operational effectiveness and efficiency. Develop verification checks and algorithms for data assurance. Analyze and document technical guidance for standards on beneficiary data management adhering to WFP data assurance and security standards. Using data analytics techniques, Lead efforts in the data cleaning process, deduplication, anomaly detection and following up with business users for further verifications and corrective actions. Monitoring and visualization on identity and transfer management and reconciliation processes through existing datasets established for COs as per corporate standards. Develop and maintain user dashboards and reports. Support the implementation of systems for automation of data ingestion into corporate platforms and customized reporting solutions. Support the roll-out of data management initiatives aiming to improve, streamline, and harmonize the flow of operational information across dashboards including mapping of data sources and users’ needs. Maintain the Chad Country office TEC product catalogue, document changes, new products and retiring obsolete products / services. Coordinate and work closely with the Regional Bureau and HQ counterparts as required. Coordinate and coach junior IT solutions development staff to ensure continuous development and promote high performance
