The Opportunity
To support the implementation of our new global and subregional strategy, and we are recruiting for a Caribbean Change Advisor who will be a key player in the transformation process for our Caribbean region (Haiti and Dominican Republic) as we are seeking more operational and strategic synergies between both country offices.
Our implementation approach is country led, with the Director of Sub Region and both Country Directors being accountable for ensuring appropriate changes in each country office, in line with the global strategy. As such, the Director of Sub Region and both Country Directors will be responsible for jointly setting goals and for deploying the Caribbean Change Advisor to ensure their time and skills are maximised. As it is important that he/she provides a neutral, independent view on change problems and issues.
Job Purpose
To accelerate the adoption of Plan International’s change processes in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, linked to the generation of a joint umbrella Country Strategy.
To facilitate the process of optimizing the operational model of Haiti with a specific focus on work with and through local partners and on financial sustainability.
Provide guidance on the process for the further creation of shared services and shared positions between Haiti and Dominican Republic.
Role Dimensions
Reports directly to the Director of Sub Region of Central America and the Caribbean, as this change project is of strategic level. Functionally to the CDs of the countries.
Occasional travel (20% of time) between both countries that are undergoing transition. Local travel within the countries to local offices (when needed).

Location: We will be recruiting globally for this role, but the individual must be based in Haiti or Dominican Republic and therefore support with relocation is available.
Type of contract: Two years’ fixed term contract
