The Catalyzing Strengthened Policy Action for Healthy Diets and Resilience (CASCADE) is a multi-country, multisectoral program funded by the Government of Netherlands and implemented by CARE Netherlands, CARE USA and GAIN. The CASCADE program aims to:
– Increase access to and consumption of healthy diets.
– Increase the resilience of households to economic and climate change-related shocks across the six countries, with a focus on women of reproductive age and children.
The CASCADE Technical Assistance Coordinator will liaise with, connect and coordinate technical assistance across the consortium, for all 6 CASCADE countries. This includes building strong relationships with Country Offices (CO) and their Project Managers in Benin, Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Mozambique, as well as a range of technical advisors for Nutrition, Advocacy, Gender, Youth, Livelihoods, Agriculture and Market Systems, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, and Social Protection, among others.
The CASCADE Technical Assistance Coordinator position is based in CARE USA’s Food and Water Systems unit, and reports directly to the Technical Lead-Nutrition, CASCADE. However, s/he provides functional and technical support to the CASCADE consortium as a whole, and is a member of the consortium’s Program Management Unit (PMU).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Develop and maintain Technical Assistance systems and processes: develop and maintain information systems and internal communications to support the provision of global technical assistance.
2.Coordinate support from CASCADE technical advisors: ensure the coordination of timely and quality global technical assistance for all 6 CASCADE countries and transnational activities.
3.Provide technical and management support on nutrition-specific deliverables: support the Nutrition Technical Lead with ad hoc/discrete technical assistance requests.
