The Information Management Coordinator will serve as the technical lead on the Information Management (IM) component within the Cash & Markets team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the IM system’s efficiency, reliability, and accountability, managing resources, and closely collaborating with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead IM System Development: Develop and maintain an efficient, reliable, . and accountable Information Management (IM) system specifically designed for cash and markets team. Effectively allocate and manage the resources of the IM system.
- Design Data Collection Surveys and Assessments: . Collaborate closely with the Cash and Markets team and the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team to understand project objectives. Design assessments and surveys to guarantee the effectiveness and reliability of data collection tools, aligning them with the project’s objectives.
- Provide Analytical Products: Design data analysis products and incorporate innovative approaches, such as interactive dashboards and data visualization through maps and infographics, based on field-collected data and secondary data sources for analysis purposes to support decision-making and effectively depict humanitarian response efforts.
- Ensure Data Quality: Ensure that IM systems are up-to-date with high data quality standards and protocols for data collection, storage and analysis, thorough data validation checks and documentation processes. To ensure traceability and transparency, by providing recommendations for continuous improvement and capacity building.
- Recommend Processes Improvements: Evaluate and assess current processes to Identify areas for enhancing organizational IM processes and propose tailored solutions. Simultaneously, assess current data management tools and technologies to pinpoint opportunities for digitization and automation, considering scalability and cost-effectiveness.
- Digitalize Tools and Trackers: Develop, evaluate existing data management tools and trackers and identify opportunities for digitization and automation, considering factors such as scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support Reconciliation and Review: Coordinate with finance, logistics and field teams to reconcile cash distribution data with financial records, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and compliance with NRC’s audit requirements and donor requirements.
- Collaborate on Reporting: . Coordinate with Monitoring, Evalution and Learning (MEL) team and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely data reporting, including supporting in donor reports, proposals as required.
- Ensure Data Protection Compliance: Ensure compliance and implement NRC’s data protection policy across all activities. Ensure staff awareness of data protection protocols. Oversee proper filing and managing SharePoint Platform and databases.
- Information Dissemination: Develop effective dissemination methods and ensure the seamless and quick usability of information and analytical products within NRC’s teams. This includes implementing user-friendly platforms and tools, fostering knowledge sharing, and promoting collaboration to maximize the impact of the generated data and insights.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of overall experience in information management, data analysis, Data visualization, effective use of data management tools and digital solutions preferably in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau. And knowledge in QGIS is preferred.
- Understanding Cash and Markets Concepts is preferred.
- Experience in designing data collection tools and surveys.
- Knowledge of data protection principles and experience in implementing data protection protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Fluency in English required. Proficiency in Arabic or other relevant languages preferred.
