Duties and Responsibilities
The UNEP-convened Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is a partnership of governments, intergovernmental organizations, and representatives of the private sector, the environmental community, and other members of civil society. The CCAC is the only international initiative working on integrated climate and clean air solutions to reduce the rate of near-term warming. It focuses on fast action to reduce emissions of short-lived climate pollutants (SLCPs) including methane, black carbon, HFCs and tropospheric ozone. More information about the Global Methane Pledge is here: www.globalmethanepledge.org The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) hosts the Secretariat at the Economy Division in Paris. To advance its communications activities, the CCAC Secretariat seeks a creative, highly organised and dynamic individual to create digital content development and support website and social media presence. The CCAC Digital Communications Consultant will produce engaging and creative content, compelling written and audio-visual products, and disseminate important CCAC news and progress updates throughout the CCAC channels. Output expectations: – Supporting delivering comprehensive monthly social media content. – Supporting daily updates to the website with fresh, relevant content. – Supporting detailed monthly reports on social media and website analytics. – Supporting the creation of high-quality social media cards with creatives, short videos and infographics. – Supporting writing and publishing success stories and human-interest stories from CCAC projects and partners. – Supporting the development of content and dissemination of monthly newsletters that are visually appealing and content-rich.
Qualifications/special skills
– First-level university degree with a specialization in creative communications, communications studies, international affairs, social science, public relations or a related discipline is required. – A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required. – Proven experience in social media management/administration is required. – Proven experience in creative content creation is required. – Proven experience in website management/administration through Drupal CMS is required. – Proficiency in video editing and graphic design tools: Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects), and InDesign is required. – Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills is required. – Ability to track and analyze social media and website metrics is required. – Creative and able to produce engaging content quickly is desirable. – Experience in writing and producing success stories and human-interest stories is desirable. – Experience in gathering, preparing, creating, and disseminating newsletter content is desirable.
Languages
Fluency in English. Knowledge of an additional UN language is an asset.
