The Alliance is searching for a Cleaner. The position has the responsibility of providing a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness throughout office premises to the Alliance Office in Uganda. The position will report to the Coordinator I – Operations.
The incumbent will specifically perform the tasks listed below.
· Develop routines to ensure all areas of the office premises are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
· Clean office rest rooms and hand basins.
· Wash floors in laundry, kitchen, bathroom and colliders.
· Wipe around the surface in kitchen and make sure the sink is always clear of utensils.
· Keep a check on cleaning materials and re-order via the Operations Associate.
· Empty and wash out bins in all rooms.
· Tidy and dust meeting rooms.
· Tidy and dust Offices.
· Vacuum door mats.
· Perform other role related duties as assigned.
Education qualifications and experience
· High School diploma.
· At least three (3) years of work experience in a similar position gained in an international organization.
· Good written and oral communication skills.
· Fluency in English.
· Exceptional customer service skills and pleasant personality.
· Active listening skills.
· Good cleaning services.
· Good organizational skills.
· Exceptional time management skills.
Terms of employment
This is a nationally recruited position based in Kawanda, Uganda. The initial contract will be for up to two (2) years, subject to a probation period of three (6) months and is renewable depending on performance and availability of resources.
This position is graded at BG02 level with a basic monthly salary of UGX 1,485,641. This grade is on a scale of BG01 to BG14 (BG14 being the highest level according to the Alliance job classification framework policy).
