Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct clinical, comprehensive, specialized assessments and develop individualized care plans based on holistic case conceptualization.
Provide psychological support, psychoeducation, and specialized interventions to affected populations and vulnerable groups (including children, adolescents, adults, older persons, persons with disability, survivors of gender-based violence, etc.), and conduct effective referrals (internally and externally) based on the LFO standard operating procedures
In collaboration with the family health team staff, social workers, school counselors and protection team, conduct awareness sessions to the community and deliver context-informed key messages regarding mental health and psychological issues
Coordinate with UNRWA staff in the various programmes as needed based on roles and responsibilities
Support the family health team staff in the integration of MHPSS into UNRWA primary health care centers, through adopted packages such as the mhGAP, PAIR approach, and others as requested
Regular reporting to the designated supervisor, and attendance of coordination and working meetings as required
Maintain a database of supported beneficiaries based on the Health Programme’s documentation and reporting standards and tools. Report on other conducted activities including awareness sessions, support and supervision interventions, and other required reported by the supervisor
Attend team meetings in the concerned areas and field offices as assigned, such as the bi-monthly Area Coordination Meetings
Report administratively to respective area health officer
Respect beneficiary confidentiality and address needs and requests in a professional way
Report any incident or act that causes any harm to beneficiary or to others
Performs other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications/special skills
A master’s degree in clinical psychology, psychotherapy or related discipline including at least 300 hours of clinical practice on psychological interventions.
Desirable: having colloquium / license to practice clinical psychology, if applicable
At least five years of relevant experience in providing psychological services including: conducting specialized assessment and developing therapeutic care plans, delivery of evidence-based psychological or psychotherapeutic interventions (for example, cognitive behavioral therapy, others).

Desirable Qualification:
1.Experience in training and supervising other specialized or non-specialized staff on the assessment and management of mental health and psychosocial problems and/or the delivery of psychosocial interventions
2. Obtaining at least 100 hours of clinical supervision
3. Familiarity with PFA, MH GAP, and other global MHPSS packages and interventions
4. Experience in working with humanitarian organizations including refugee settings/ camps
5. Able to use basic computer skills
