Description

Under the direct authority of the Head of the End-User Projects and Access Governance Section, you will design, document, validate and implement new IT service solutions based on the Microsoft Cloud commercial offering.

Duties

As an IT Cloud Service Engineer, your duties will include:

  • defining and documenting processes and procedures to operate and maintain the service offered by Microsoft Cloud platforms, such as Azure and Microsoft 365, aligned with the esait cloud service architecture;
  • designing new services and solutions based on Microsoft Cloud platforms with the aim of improving existing system performance, processes and functions, focusing on the impact on end users;
  • planning, monitoring and executing the implementation of new IT services based on Microsoft Cloud platforms;
  • monitoring and managing the performance of the IT services offered on Microsoft Cloud platforms, managing incidents, priorities, issues, changes, releases, configurations and assets, for example, to ensure compliance with SLA requirements, and implementing mitigation actions in the event of non-fulfilment of agreements;
  • ensuring that ESA and departmental policies, standards and guidelines are implemented in the design (systems and processes) of new IT services on Microsoft Cloud platforms;
  • providing input for the strategic planning process, investment plans and annual work planning processes, along with the related budget preparation and revision exercises.

A master’s degree in information technology is required for this post.

In principle, recruitment will be within the advertised grade band (A2-A4). However, if the selected candidate has less than four years of relevant professional experience following the completion of the master’s degree, the position may be filled at A1 level.
