Commercial Revenue Manager
Role
In this new position, the Commercial Revenue Manager reports to the Head of Commercial Policy and Marketing and will be responsible for driving revenue growth for ISO through strategic business development and sales initiatives.
You will leverage your extensive experience in B2B environments, preferably in digital publishing to expand the distribution of ISO standards and related revenue in alignment with ISO’s commercial policy. Provide support to ISO members, strategically empowering them to increase the distribution of ISO standards. Coordinate these efforts with commercial and marketing initiatives developed and implemented by the Commercial Policy and Marketing unit in collaboration with other ISO/CS units and key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in business development and revenue generation at the B2B level, with a proven track record of success.
Key responsibilities
- Direct commercial and marketing support to ISO members: actively engage with ISO members, providing tangible assistance to increase their sales and marketing prowess.
- Strategic business analysis: conduct in-depth analysis of business opportunities for ISO publications and value-added products by geography, sector and/or customer segment, employing a data-driven approach to capture customers’ needs and develop targeted commercial strategies.
- Translate analytical insights and targeted commercial strategies into actionable plans that are implemented to effectively meet customer demands and enhance commercial revenue for ISO publications and value-added products. This process involves nurturing existing relationships, identifying new commercial opportunities, and establishing partnerships to drive revenue growth globally.
- Identify opportunities for commercial revenue growth for the ISO Central Secretariat, with a primary focus on leveraging ISO Central Secretariat e-commerce, ensuring the sustained success and expansion of the organization, in compliance with the commercial policy approved by the relevant ISO governing bodies. Implement best practices to enhance the customer experience and increase sales volume.
- Commercial integrity of ISO copyright: identify copyright leakages and unauthorized use of ISO publications, develop and execute proactive enforcement strategies to preserve the commercial integrity of ISO copyright.

Qualification and Experience
- University education or equivalent background, preferably with a relevant master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in business development and revenue generation at the B2B level, preferably in the digital publishing sector.
- Strong background in working with B2B distributors in relevant business sectors, and direct engagement with companies and organizations to drive revenue growth.
- Experience with international standards and membership organizations is an asset.
- Experience in managing e-commerce sales is an asset.
- Proficiency in English. Fluency in other languages is an asset.
- Proven ability to thrive in an international and multicultural work environment.
- Results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Ability to analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities.
