The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with a contract duration of two years due to programme duration. There are good prospects for an extension. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.

As Communication and Administration Assistant, you will be supporting the the project team of our Emergency Supply Pre-positioning Strategy Programme. In your role, you will be responsible for supporting communication and administrative tasks of the Programme Management Unit.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide input on ESUPS deliverables (final report, presentations).
  • Ensure ESUPS products are edited to the highest standards by assisting the Communications Officer in reviewing and editing ESUPS results on data presentation issues
  • Maintain records of media coverage and assist in social media analysis of ESUPS performance metrics
  • Assist in managing, updating, and improving the website, as well as training materials
  • Organize and maintain contact lists and a media database
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of ESUPS project updates and advocacy messages through various channels
  • Assist in the preparation of regular reports (semi-annual and final reports)
  • Assist with procurement related administrative tasks and in the preparation of proposals

Your profile

  • Completed formal training or job-relevant professional experience
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years professional experience in communications and project support
  • Very high competence in Microsoft Office and Microsoft TEAMS
  • Very good communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Very high affinity to digital innovations as well as willingness to learn the standard software programmes of Welthungerhilfe in the areas of project management, finance and procurement
  • Very high affinity to data management and humanitarian topics
  • Fluent English is a prerequisite, knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage
