Community Education Coordinator
Location: North Wales – office or home based with travel to schools and other educational venues
Hours: Part time – 28 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term (Maternity cover, potentially until September 2024)
Salary: Up to £23,366 FTE (£18,693 for working 28 hour week) per annum
Driving – You must be able to drive and have own vehicle for this role due to the travel
Language – We require a Welsh speaker for this role
Could you ensure our community education service is delivered effectively, consistently, and exceeds quality standards? We’re looking for a Community Education Coordinator to join our team at the British Red Cross.
A day in the life of a Community Education Coordinator
You will be managing the allocation of resources and volunteers to increase our geographical footprint and capacity within communities. You’ll manage community external partnerships and relationships. You’ll support the implementation of partnerships and externally funded projects. You will also have accountabilities for all aspects of the Community Education blended learning offer for your area. You will ensure your education delivery is consistent and at the appropriate quality standard. This is a great opportunity to make a real impact, through facilitated learning to adults and young people. You will be helping to better equip thousands of people to cope in the event of a crisis.
Please note that some flexibility will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends as required.
This role might be for you if:
You’ve got a recognised education, training or facilitation qualification (or equivalent by experience) and excellent coaching and motivational skills
You’ve got experience of recruiting, selecting, managing, and supporting volunteers
You’ve got experience of facilitated learning and adapting nationally approved learning content to meet user needs
You’re a confident Welsh speaker or understand the language in an educational setting
