JOB DETAIL

We are seeking a Compensation & Benefit Specialist for a 1-year-contract position (Replacement for maternity leave) to work within the Human Resources department at the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, Korea. (Duty station : Seoul, Korea)
Job Description

This job is responsible for ensuring that staffs receive their compensation and benefits on time within proper guidelines of the institute and labor cost is accurately managed. It also implements the organization’s compensation & benefit strategy so that outcomes meet organization’s needs and are consistent with the organization’s desired internal and external market position.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Maintain & improve effective compensation and benefits programs
  • Improve, update, and review IVI C&B programs by coordination with consultant and direction of Business Partner/Compensation & Benefits aligning with organizational needs and market competitiveness.
  • Liaise with vendors and financial institutions in negotiation or agreement for smooth administration of C&B programs.
  • Develop administrative procedures to monitor and reduce costs while improving delivery of programs.
2. Maintain effective payroll and journal process
  • Maintain accurate payroll master date, time allocation, and leave data in the payroll system & ERP, while performing monthly payroll processes.
  • Manage effective monthly C&B related journaling process.
3. Maintain labor cost
  • Support developing labor cost budget by estimating compensation and benefits of individual staff.
  • Provide ad-hoc reports to project team on labor cost.
  • Support in completing Form 990 (C&B related section) for corporate tax reporting to U.S. government.
4. Other HR affairs
  • Assist with audit response
  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)
  • Prepare official documents for IVI Staff as required
  • Process routine vendor payments
  • Support day to day operations of the HR functions and duties as required (e.g., draft all staff memo, purchasing office supplies, and gathering information)
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR projects (i.e., meetings, seminars, training, surveys, material development) and take minutes as requested
Job Requirements and Qualifications
1. Education Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
2. Related Field Work Experience
  • 5+ years
3. Technical and Professional Skills / Knowledge
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Sound knowledge of HRIS
4. Language Proficiency
  • Fluency in English
