The position is to be filled as soon as possible with a contract duration of 36 months. At the end of the initial three-year contractual period, there are good prospects for conversion of the contract from a fixed-term to an open-ended employment contract. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany.
As Compliance Management System (CMS) Project Lead you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the project of the Legal & Compliance Unit for the consolidation and stabilization of the Welthungerhilfe CMS. You will have a key position in the CMS Project Management and work closely with the respective subject matter experts as well as the senior management at head office level and the country and project management in the programme countries.
Your responsibilities
- You will establish project plans & project staffing in coordination with the Head of Legal & Compliance
- You will prepare, manage and control the project budget
- You will steer and monitor project performance and translate lessons learned into concrete project improvements
- You will review and consolidate workstream reports into regular progress reports to the Head of Legal & Compliance and the Executive Management on project implementation and related risks
- You will ensure good communication and cooperation within the project team and with key project stakeholders at head office and programme country level (Top Management, Regional Directorates, Heads of Units, Country Directors)
- You will steer and coordinate the contributions of technical experts to contribute to a common project goal
Your profile
- A university or polytechnic degree in management, business administration, quality assurance or a comparable level of qualification
- At least three years of professional experience in project management or project coordination (with partial leadership responsibility), ideally in an international organisation or international company
- Experience in budget planning and budget control
- Sound knowledge of the practice of international compliance management and compliance management systems, including quality assurance and continuous improvement
- Process-oriented, solution-focused, and implementation-oriented approach
- Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of German or French is an asset
