Headquarters Joint Force Command Headquarters Brunssum (HQ JFCBS) provides a Joint Headquarters (HQ) to plan prepare and conduct operations to support NATO’s core tasks, at the Joint Operational level, as directed by Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR).
The Management Directorate enables the full range of HQ functions through the coordination of services and activities.
The Base Support Group (BSG) is responsible for the coordination of base support operations for JFCBS and collocated entities.
The Infrastructure, Storage and Supply (ISS) Branch is responsible for managing engineering, infrastructure, maintenance and supply functions for JFCBS and supported elements.
The Infrastructure Management Section (IMS) provides oversight of conference services, engineering and maintenance functions, including civil works and utilities procurement.
The incumbent contributes to the daily process of reservation, planning and programming of the conference spaces and the related facilities/equipment and assists in ensuring that they are always ready for use.
The incumbent:
Ø Has a co-responsibility for reservation planning and programming of the conference rooms.
Ø Is responsible for maintaining and managing all equipment being used (audio/video/VTC, etc.) in conference spaces under the responsibility of the BSG in the HQ building, as well as for the mobile conference equipment intended for external use.
Ø Advises senior management regarding technical updates, replacements and extensions, in support of J6 and NATO Communications Information Agency (NCIA) and acts as first point of contact for maintenance and technical interventions by NCIA.
Ø Ensures that conference spaces are always ready for use, and that the equipment in those spaces is always available with regular inspections of conference rooms and equipment, supervising cleaning and work orders.
Ø Supports the Facility Team, IMS, ISS and HN with information about the built facilities, damages and repairs by contractors.
Ø Keeps proper records of the available audio-visual/video/VTC equipment, as well as records relating to the use or booking of conference spaces and facilities belonging to the BSG and lending equipment.
Ø Provides proper (on the job) training to users on the operation of the available conference equipment and to project officers with regard to all relevant aspects relating to the use of conference spaces, equipment, security matters, etc.
Ø Assesses future projects or projects in progress by assisting in the evaluation and examination of new AV equipment in support of NCIA and J6, as required.
Ø Acts as sub-account holder for VTC/AV equipment, ensures that parts, components and appliances are ordered through NCIA, installed by Conference Services and the account list for new and deleted items of equipment is kept updated.
The successful candidate must have following qualifications/attributes:
ü Secondary education
ü Successful completion of higher vocational training (comparable Dutch MBO level) in electronics or equivalent
ü Minimum 3 year’s related experience
ü Technical knowledge and experience using audio and video systems
ü Technical knowledge and experience using large-screen projectors and computer circuits including VTC systems
ü Technical knowledge and experience using audio equipment for discussions / meetings
ü Ability to transition user requirements to an equipment or system configuration
ü Good English language skills
Desirable qualifications:
ü Good Dutch language skills
ü Experience in a Military environment particularly in regards to Conference systems
ü Qualification in POLYCOM systems installation and/or maintenance

Please note that this is a full time Local Wage Rate (LWR) position, 38 working hours per week. This position follows the terms and conditions of the employment contract regulations for Local Staff employed at the Allied Joint Force Command Headquarters Brunssum in accordance with the LWR Regulations.
The gross monthly starting salary is EUR 2858, 10 (subject to taxes); maximum gross monthly salary in this grade is EUR 3837, 59. In addition to the salary there is monthly 8% (of the monthly gross salary) holiday allowance, an additional end of year payment (current amount is a 1 month salary) and participation in a pension plan (currently ABP).
An employee appointed for 38 working hours per week will be entitled to 184 hours holiday per calendar year. The holiday entitlement under will be increased based on the age reached by the Employee during the relevant calendar year.

The selected candidates will be offered a 2-year definite duration contract including a 2 months probationary period. This contract may be followed by a contract of indefinite duration.
