The consultant will carry out the following, in Portuguese with an executive summary in English :
Component 1: Conduct consultations and assessments.
Component 2: Assessing the baseline capacity requirements for the climate services value chain.
Component 3: Elaboration of the INAMET Strategic Plan (NSP) and Technical Framework for Climate Service (TFCS) action plan.
Component 4: Assessment of the socio-economic benefits of INAMET services in Angola.
Coordination: The consultant will work in coordination with a WMO Senior consultant who will provide guidance on the preparation on the NSP and contribute to the revision of documents.
| QUALIFICATIONS | ||
| Education Degree in applied meteorology, environmental sciences, social sciences, international relations, business management, strategic planning, or related discipline. |
||
| Experience At least 8 years of experience in strategic planning and management and organizational change in developing countries. |
||
| Languages Excellent knowledge of Portuguese (both oral and written). Knowledge of English (reading/ understanding) is a clear advantage. (Note: The official languages of the Organization are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.) |

Duration: Total 85 working days from 15th December 2024 until 15 December 2025.
Pay Band: Category C
Proposed fee: to be defined, depending upon experience, knowledge, and skills.
