In coordination with ECARO Hub, the position’s purpose is to support the Private Sector Partnership Specialist and the Greece Country Office in deepening collaboration with key private sector stakeholders and provide support in the organization of various initiatives for this purpose, such as public events and consolidating input from Programme Teams.

The incumbent will provide the section with vital administrative and business development support, managing and facilitating workflow and queries, maintaining databases for partnerships and supporting the writing of reports and pitches. The key expected result is to ensure greater visibility for UNICEF and influence in support of its mission, assisting with deepening engagement with business and key influencers in the private sector.

Work Assignment Overview

1. Maintenance of partner database:
• Research prospects and enhance pipeline
• Donor mapping
• Deep-dive research
• Build donor Pipeline Development
• Drafting donor profile
• Enrich the list with at least 30 new partner contact information
• Reach out preparation

2. Manage a business event (pre, during and post-event), working closely with relevant stakeholders and under the supervision of UNICEF, including preparation and delivery of the event:
• Prepare invitations in Greek and English
• Prepare an address list with all necessary contact info
• Send invitations
• Follow-up for RSVP
• Arrange the catering
• Deal with all invoices and filling of documents
• Ensure all necessary equipment is available
• Post-event reports

3. Preparation of event material:
• Draft material for dissemination during the event
• Ensure timely design and printing of material
• Prepare and disseminate event Agenda
• Liaise with speakers to receive presentations and collate into one media pack
• Support in drafting press release
• Briefing notes

4. Support in Developing Assets for donors:
• Support with consolidating inputs from teams
• Support in drafting concept note proposals, PowerPoint decks, and one-pagers

5. Donor report support:
• Coordinating input from relevant teams
• Draft a compelling report consolidating financial inputs
• Collect all relevant material for Annexes

Performance indicators for evaluation of results.
The performance of work will be evaluated based on the following indicators:
• Completion of tasks specified in ToR.
• Compliance with the established deadlines for submission of deliverables.
• Quality of deliverables.
• Demonstration of high standards of work.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

• A university degree (Bachelor’s) in one of the following fields: Communication, Marketing, International Relations, Political Science, International Development, Public Policy, Public Administration, Economics, or related fields
4 years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in PR, communication, corporate affairs, or media.
• Knowledge of the business ecosystem in Greece, event planning, and B2B brand and partnership communications.
• Experience producing content for various formats – email, web, reports, invitations, etc.
• Organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills and abilities.
• Demonstrated experience in supporting and/or managing projects to completion.
• Knowledge of children’s rights, public policy, international development, and humanitarian issues
• Experience working for a national PR agency would be an asset.
• Excellent English and Greek communication and writing skills.

Their conditions of service will be governed by their contract and the General Conditions of Contracts for the Services of Consultants and Individual Contractors. Consultants and individual contractors are responsible for determining their tax liabilities and for the payment of any taxes and/or duties, in accordance with local or other applicable laws.

The selected candidate is solely responsible to ensure that the visa (applicable) and health insurance required to perform the duties of the contract are valid for the entire period of the contract. Selected candidates are subject to confirmation of fully-vaccinated status against SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) with a World Health Organization (WHO)-endorsed vaccine, which must be met prior to taking up the assignment.
