Organizational Setting

The Division of Information Technology provides support to the IAEA in the field of information and communication technology (ICT), including information systems for technical programmes and management. It is responsible for planning, developing and implementing an ICT strategy, for setting and enforcing common ICT standards throughout the Secretariat and for managing central ICT services. The IAEA’s ICT infrastructure comprises hardware and software platforms, and cloud and externally-hosted services. The Division has implemented an IT service management model based on ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and Prince2 (Projects in a Controlled Environment) best practices.

Main Purpose

The  ERP Techno-Functional Consultant (Travel & Meetings) will provide support for the Agency’s Event Application Management software system which is also known as InTouch system, TC’s Programme Cycle Management and design and build the RICEFW components, develop Events and Travel applications in coordination with staff and clients to deliver solutions for incidents and application service requests in AIPS Plateau4 projects (Travel & Events Management).

Functions / Key Results Expected

  • Provide first-level support to the Member States as well as IAEA staff members for smooth running of various software applications, including but not limited to, the Agency’s Event Application Management system (alternately known as InTouch ) and issues arising from the use of the Event Management Module of the Agency’s Enterprise Resource Management systems. Support existing TC business processes, make recommendations on the enhancements of the existing software applications with a view to enhancing efficiency.
  • Manage application support, including incident resolution, introduction of new features and configurations to reflect changes in Department or IAEA Policies.
  • Ensure a high level of data quality of the Agency’s Event Application Management systems and the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning System (ERP). These include, among other things, taking effective measures to clean-up duplicate data, assigning roles in supported systems as directed.
  • Actively participate in testing to validate that the implemented features meet requirements.
  • Deliver training to end users and prepare user manuals in support of upgrades, enhancements and refresher
  • Provide functional and technical advice and support to the Events and Travel application to resolve application service requests (incidents, problems, change requests).
  • Develop solutions to solve issues arising out of integrations and interfaces related to the Events and Travel application.
  • Perform unit testing on the solutions developed.
  • Prepare functional and technical design documents of the assigned change requests.
  • From time to time, coordinate all the relevant stakeholders of AIPS Travel and Meetings domain in building the solutions and enhancements.
  • Contribute to user support training, manuals, and system documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University Degree in Information Technology, or related area
  • Minimum five years of experience in development and support (troubleshoot complex issues, test system patches, and conduct regression tests) for an enterprise scale solution Oracle E-Business Suite, of which at least 3 years of experience working with custom development using ADF and APEX technology.   • Minimum 5 years of experience working with custom development using ADF.
  • Minimum 3 years of ERP end-user support.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with OAF and workflow technologies.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with Oracle technologies in trouble shooting the custom applications and integrations, specially PLSQL Developer.
  • Strong knowledge in technical architecture and security framework to build and support custom applications.
  • Understanding of Oracle Applications open interfaces and APIs.
  • Familiarity with ITIL is an asset.

Remuneration

The remuneration for this consultancy is a daily fee of up to a maximum of € 250, based on qualifications and experience. In case duty travel is required within the assignment, a daily subsistence allowance (DSA) and travel costs are provided. Health coverage and pension fund are the responsibility of the incumbent.
