PHES dialogued the needs for better coordination and linkages between higher education, industries and the workforce, as well as meeting the diverse needs for higher education and importance of inter-disciplinary approaches, research capacity, issues of labor mobility and brain drain. Ensuring learning outcomes of the education system as a whole including higher education, the increasing role of technologies, and the importance of concerted efforts to improve equitable access to quality higher education across regional and national institutions were also raised.
