The Systematic Observations Financing Facility (SOFF) was legally created by WMO, UNDP and UNEP as a UN a Multi-Partner Trust Fund in December 2021 and it has become operational in July 2022. SOFF requires additional support to ensure effective communication. To reflect the wide range of support, the Support Statement Video requires an update.
Under the overall guidance of the Associate Advocacy and Communication Officer, the consultant will work closely with the SOFF Secretariat to develop tailored video on SOFF activities.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Draft a script based on the previous video, including indicated where adapted animations, stock footage or text are needed, in coordination with the SOFF Secretariat.
– Edit the provided video: Delete outdated support statements, add new provided video messages, add new stock footage and animations where required, based on the signed off script.
– Add a narration to the video, similar to the previous video and based on the signed off script. Deliver the finished video by 9 May.
– Perform other duties related to the SOFF video update as required.
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:
1. Video script.
2. Updated video including narration and stock footage.
| QUALIFICATIONS | ||
| Education Bachelor’s degree or similar education in video editing, animation or graphic design. |

| Experience More than 3 years of working experience in video editing required. Experience in animation, graphic design, script writing and project management desired. |
||
| Other requirements Knowledge of video editing software is required. Ability to produce videos required. Experience working on communications in international context desired. Ability to produce videos, motion graphics, animations, photography, and infographics desired. Knowledge about climate change and international finance desired. |
||
| Languages Excellent knowledge of English (both oral and written) is required. (Note: The official languages of the Organization are Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.) |
