Project Overview
We are currently seeking a team of highly experienced consultants or a consulting company to conduct baseline surveys as part of the Asia-Africa BlueTech Superhighway project’s initial phase in Kenya. These surveys will serve as a foundational assessment to establish the current status and key indicators related to our project’s objectives. The project aims to transform the lives of stakeholders in aquatic food systems across Africa and Asia, addressing the challenge of feeding 9.8 billion people sustainably and resiliently by 2050. Your primary goal will be collaborating with WorldFish scientists and international partners to execute baseline studies aimed at establishing a foundational understanding of the current status and key indicators related to the objectives of the Asia-Africa BlueTech Superhighway project. This assessment will provide essential insights into the existing socio-economic conditions, challenges, and opportunities within aquatic food systems across Africa and Asia. Specifically, the baseline study aims to gather comprehensive data that will inform the project’s planning, implementation, and evaluation processes.
Scope of Work
The consultant will lead and manage the execution of a baseline survey taking place in Kenya in relation to the AABS project. For carrying out the abovementioned activities the consultant is expected to:
Reporting
The agency will report the progress of the assignment to WorldFish on Monthly basis.
Skills, Experience and Knowledge
To be successful in this position, you will need to be a strong team player, willing to work under direction from project leadership and the Project Steering Committee but motivated to work autonomously in achieving objectives.

Budget
Interested Consultant(s) are requested to provide a detailed budget proposal outlining professional fees, travel expenses (if applicable), and any other costs related to the consultancy. The budget should be submitted along with the application.
Evaluation and Selection
Applications will be evaluated based on the qualifications and experience of the consultant, the quality and feasibility of the proposed approach and work plan, the relevance of previous work examples and the most competitive proposal. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview or request additional information before final selection. This opportunity is open for all applicants.
