We are inspired by and associated with World Resources Institute (WRI), a global research organization. Currently over 250 researchers are working with WRI India in our offices at Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

Overview for Operations

WRI Operations team supports the crucial front-line work of the organization, they directly interact and work with Donors, Partners, Government agencies, Statutory bodies, Trustees, Vendors, and Consultants in fielding their inquiries, providing support at all the fronts and solving problems. So that the WRI programs can be implemented without any hurdles and the program staff and researchers can develop high quality research documents, plans and implement the programs at the field level.

WRI operations team consists of various functions such as Budget and Finance, Grants and Contracts, Legal Counsel, Human Resource, IT and Facilities management. Each role comes under the purview of operations and each function lead reports to the Director Operations and Director Operations report to the CEO of the Organization.

WRI Operations team strive for operational excellence across all functions starting with the recruitment, retention and management of WRI’s staff, our most important asset. We manage our endowment, the contributions entrusted to us, and our facilities in ways that are in line with our values and advance our mission. We maintain strict budgetary planning and financial controls to ensure that all contributions are managed in compliance with donors’ wishes.

How your day will unfold:

• Overseeing any repair, maintenance and Facility upkeep work
• Managing the facilities budget and maintaining the necessary documentation on record (maintenance reports, etc.) as required by the finance and compliance functions
• Planning for the future by forecasting the facility’s upcoming needs and requirements
• Support & Plan team activities and events as need be
• General administrative tasks and activities
• Prepare Inventory checklist, keep track of each and every asset in the office
• Co-ordinate and resolve all account related queries with regards to vendor payments.
• Knowledge on managing & improving internet services in the office.
• Maintain and help in resolving general employee concerns with regards to office equipment and facility
• Vendor Management – Sourcing and overseeing contracts, and negotiating rates and build a strong pipeline of repair maintenance vendors around the office
• Primarily responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Delhi office, ensuring that the core facilities are well-maintained and conducting proactive maintenance
• Supervising teams of staff across different functions like security, cleaning, maintenance
• Ensuring that vendor and utilities bills are tracked and vendor payments are closed out on time

Qualifications & requirements we seek:

• 2 to 3 Years of relevant fulltime experience
• Good English communication skills – – including the ability to communicate technical information

• Street savvy and ability to negotiate terms with vendors
• Great organisational and administrative skills
• Relationship-building
• The ability to prioritise and multi-task
• Time management skills
• Teamwork, leadership, and motivational skills
• Good computer skills
• Proactive thinking
• Passionate about delivering consistent excellence.
• Smiling and polite demeanor without getting flustered under pressure.

Salary and Benefits : Salary shall be commensurate with experience and skills.
