Organize and manage Global Pension CFO Forum
Work Location
New York and /Or remote location.
Expected duration
Up to a maximum of three (3) months
Duties and Responsibilities
The Consultant will be responsible to the following services in relation to Organizing and managing the Global Pensions CFO Forum:
Forum Agenda
• Establish a program committee of CFO’s or their delegates to provide input on the Forum agenda
• Facilitate program committee call(s)
• Advise on broad themes for Forum – strategic, governance, operational, investments vs liabilities, etc.
• Build out a detailed description of each agenda topic
• Provide criteria suggestions for keynote speaker(s) if required
• Build timeline and sequence for agenda topics
Speakers / Moderators (excludes keynote speaker(s)
• Identify and recruit speakers & moderators for each agenda topic
• Provide guidance for each speaker/moderator for development of their materials & sessions
• Facilitate initial planning call with each agenda topic session panelists
• Periodic touchpoints with speakers / moderators to monitor progress & answer any questions
• Provide script suggestions for Interview with the CEO session
• Liaise with Forum host staff handling logistics to ensure agenda and speakers are properly integrated into program materials, run sheets, etc.
• Obtain CV and photos of speakers
Registration
• Assist in identifying/inviting new attendees using networks developed through previous Forums
• Recruit others to use their networks to attract international attendees
Other
• Attend organizing team calls & advise as needed
• Provide insight as needed on logistics based on prior Forums experiences (hotels, entertainment, registration, gifts, etc.)
• Advise on nature, timing and content of communications to invitees
• Provide advice on room layouts / AV aligned to speakers’ needs
• Assist as needed in drafting any messages from host CFO or the Steering Committee (eg invite to private luncheon for CFO’s, etc.)
• Assist as needed in drafting speaking notes for hosts (CFO, other Steering Committee members).
• Assist in the design of the CFO-only luncheon, if a luncheon is held – Topic suggestion, table seating plans, etc
• Prepare initial draft runsheet setting out who does what & when throughout the agenda
• Prepare initial draft of Emcee speaking notes
• Prepare initial draft of post event survey
• Recruit 2025 Forum host
Qualifications/special skills
.Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Finance or related fields.
.A minimum of fifteen years of experience with the Global Pension CFO community and experience in organizing international network events in the pension industry is required
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required. Working knowledge of French is desirable. Knowledge of another UN language is desirable
