Under the overall authority of the Director of UNESCO Regional Office in Havana and the direct supervision of the National Officer of the Communication and Information Programme, the incumbent is responsible for providing technical support to Programme activities related to strengthening institutional capacities of the Dominican media to prepare and respond to emergencies and disasters.
