Duties and Responsibilities
• Administrator – design, implementation, administration and maintenance of Exchange Online and messaging infrastructures and other O365 services in ICC partners operations. The incumbent is responsible for implementing, managing and maintaining standard configurations, monitoring and analysis tools, as well as assisting with the solution of the problems related to ICC or ICC partners as a part of the incident management process.
• Deployment– design, final testing and deployment of email solutions and related systems as well as all related technical documentation as part of release management process.
• Analyst – analyzing the technical needs of customers, end-users and stakeholders while helping identify technical problems and propose solutions as a part of problem management process.
• Resolve incidents, implement and participate to problem resolutions.
• Collaborate with other teams to implement service and system monitoring, alerting and reporting of the Unified Messaging services; Collaborate with other teams to define and develop documented procedures.
• Perform any other tasks as may be assigned.
Qualifications/special skills
Academic Qualifications:
A university degree or master’s degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology, information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, Business Administration, Management, or other related disciplines;
Experience:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience for a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years for a master’s degree in managing, operating and maintaining Microsoft Office 365 Services focused on Exchange Online.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online;
• The consultant must hold industry certifications in Microsoft related areas and Office 365;
• Exposure in migration projects such as on-premises to cloud Exchange and related integration features are highly desirable;
• Experience in scripting, in particular PowerShell and automation;
• Desirably, the candidate would have good understanding of other messaging platforms, such as, SendMail, PostFix, messaging security using technologies including PKI, S/MIME, DKIM and DMARC, as well as email archiving, journaling and hygiene platforms.
• Experience with service management (ITIL) and project management (PMI, Prince2) methodologies
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team of diverse skills;
• Good communication and presentation skills;
The consultant must be able to:
• Communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
• Write technical documents, reports and procedure manuals.
• Present information effectively and respond to questions from a wide variety of audiences;
• Work under pressure, with minimum supervision and a good level of proactiveness;
• Grasp complex concepts, have logical and analytical approach to solving problems;
• Collaborate with offshore/nearshore teams and share knowledge;
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner, within SLA;
• Adapt to changing and ambiguous requirements during the project lifecycle;
• Assess and gather customer requirements and follow through tickets and project tasks to completion.
Activities and Deliverables
Under the supervision of the Unified Messaging Operations Team Lead, the Exchange administrator will:
• Collaborate with the existing messaging administrators to deliver the Unified Communications Services to ICC and its clients;
• Collaborate with other teams and contribute to the service and system monitoring and alerting;
• Support and maintain the Unified Messaging services as described above;
• Collaborate with other teams to define and develop documented procedures;
• Participate in the “on call” shits for support outside of working hours;
• Perform other activities as required.
Language:
• Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal);
Contract Conditions:
• The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
• Remuneration for this consultancy will be1600.00 USD, depending on the fund availability, qualifications, and relevant experience.
• The incumbent can be in any UNRWA field of operations (Gaza, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, or West Bank).

United Nations International Computing Center (UNICC) is a UN agency that provides IT services to other UN agencies on a cost-recovery basis.
UNRWA Information Management and Technology Department (IMTD) is seeking a Unified Messaging Administrator to provide consultancy service to deliver on-going support for Unified Messaging services for ICC and its Clients. The consultant will be responsible for performing deployment and administration tasks related to Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online and related messaging systems.
The consultant will report administratively to the Head Information Technology Service Centre at Headquarters Gaza and report technically to United Nations International Computing Center (UNICC).
