Result of Service
Under these terms of reference, the consultant shall deliver the following outputs: • Provide graphic/infographic support for revamping of the TIPSOM page including the design of banners, icons, thumbnail images and graphic elements for main and subpages. Ensure compliance with UNODC corporate standards; • Update the written content of the main ROSEN website in French and uploading new and attractive TIPSOM web stories; • Redesign and update the pages of “Liason Magistrate”, “Niamey Declaration” and “PROMIS”. • Support TIPSOM in the design of high-quality communication material (templates, flyers, etc.) that can be regularly updated by staff and shared with relevant partners and donors. • Provide design for a leaflet on the work of the UNODC ROSEN TIPSOM Unit.

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the head of communications at TIPSOM Unit or an alternate, and guidance from other designated staff, the consultant will perform the following specific tasks: • Assure tant the ROSEN website meet the following criteria ( Mobile-friendly; Supporting mobile-friendly interactive maps (eg. With OpenStreetMap, Leaflet, Mapbox…); Supporting data visualization materials (eg. Charters, graphics…); Redirecting easily the user to Programmes and project pages. • Uploading new web stories to our website (TIPSOM). • Create visually appealing web story templates. • Creation of audiovisual content to complete our website (Graphics, infographics, Pictures and videos, Interactive carroussels). • Redesign and update the pages of “Liason Magistrate”, “Niamey Declaration” and “PROMIS”. • Design different templates (Powerpoints for presentations, and for overview flyers) that can later be updated by the designated staff of different units. • Support the Front Office in updating the ROSEN website in French.
Qualifications/special skills
Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in the fields of graphic design, visual arts or other related subjects in the arts is required. First level university degree in similar fields, in combination with two additional years of relevant professional experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in publications production, including desktop publishing, graphic design and layout, website design or related area is required; Proven experience in illustration, graphic design and publications production is required; Experience in and knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, and of state-of-the-art pre-press preparation of print files is required; Experience within the UN system or similar international organisations is desirable; Ability to research potential solutions to internal and external client needs and to report back in a timely manner is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the UN Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English (i.e. oral and written proficiency and excellent drafting skills) is required. Knowledge of other official UN languages is an advantage.
