COTE D’IVOIRE: PARTNERSHIP AND ADMINISTRATION INTERN

CURRENT OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a talented Partnership and Administration intern to work with us in the GGGI Cote d’Ivoire Country Program Operation Team to support the implementation of the GGGI Cote d’Ivoire Country’s programs in to assist the Government of Cote d’Ivoire in delivering green growth by developing capacity, driving investment and designing green projects with social, environmental and economic benefits for the people of Cote d’Ivoire

The intern’s work will focus on the following specific area:

1. Partnership Building:

  • Research and Mapping: Identify potential partners, including NGOs, private sector entities, and governmental bodies, that align with GGGI’s mission and objectives.
  • Proposal Drafting: Assist in drafting partnership proposals, concept notes, and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for potential collaborations.
  • Networking: Support the establishment and maintenance of relationships with existing and prospective partners through regular communication, coordination of meetings, and follow-up activities.
  • Documentation: Maintain and update a database of partnership activities, including key contacts, meeting outcomes, and action items.

2. Resource Mobilization:

  • Donor Research: Conduct research to identify and analyze potential funding opportunities from international organizations, foundations, and government agencies.
  • Proposal Development: Assist in the drafting, editing, and submission of funding proposals, grant applications, and reports to donors.
  • Monitoring: Help track the progress of resource mobilization activities

3. General Administration:

  • Office Support: Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and organizing events.
  • Document Management: Assist in managing documents by ensuring proper filing, storage, and retrieval of important records.
  • Communication: Handle routine correspondence, draft emails, and prepare official letters as required.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in organizing workshops, seminars, and other events, including liaising with participants, arranging venues, and coordinating travel logistics.
  • Data Management: Support data collection, entry, and analysis for various projects and reports.

 

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for an internship, candidates must:

  • Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (final year), master’s degree or related academia, prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.
QUALIFICATION
  • Educational background in the field of Business Administration, International Affairs, Engineering or a related field.
  • Full computer literacy including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent French and English required.
SELECTION PROCESS
  • Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
  • GGGI evaluates applications based on eligibility requirements, relevance of academic study and work experience (if any); and the level of interest and motivation to contribute to development work.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Duration: The internship program is for three months. Once selected, interns must begin your internship either prior to or within 12 months of graduation.

Stipend: GGGI interns receive a monthly stipend of USD$500 per month. All costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation, and living expenses must be borne by either the interns or their sponsoring institutions.

Travel: Intern will arrange and finance their travel to the internship location. This position is based at GGGI Cote d’Ivoire’s Abidjan Office.

Medical Insurance: Interns must present proof of valid medical insurance to GGGI upon returning the signed internship contract.

Confidentiality: Interns must keep confidential any and all unpublished information obtained during the course of the internship and may not publish any documents based on such information.

Academic Credit: Interns may get academic credit from their institution of higher education for the internship. Interns need to check with their university to confirm their academic credit policy for internships.

Working Hours: interns are expected to work during normal working hours. Leave should be pre-approved by the Intern Manager, and the latter should inform the Office of HR accordingly.

Learning Outcomes: before completion of the internship, Intern Managers are expected to review the learning outcomes with the intern.

Certificate: provided upon successful completion of the internship, upon request.
